Review the Range at Ratheniska- National Ploughing Championships 2022

We had another successful year at the National Ploughing Championships 2022.

There were new additions to our stand this year, including the Nugent Tiltbed trailer, the release of our new Machinery brochure and some new faces on the team.

We also held a competition where people had to guess the number of balloons suspended from our Crane trailer, for the chance to win a Nugent Bale Lifter. We had 13 people guess correctly. The lucky winner was announced by Catherine Nugent, from Shannon Trailer Sales & Servicing, by popping a balloon with their name inside. The 12 runners-up received a Nugent goodybag. Watch the video announcement on our social media pages.

A big thank you to all involved at the show, including our dealers who helped the show run smoothly. Looking forward to doing it all over again in 2023!

NUGENT: REVIEW THE RANGE AT RATHENISKA

Nugent will be showcasing its full range at this year’s National Ploughing Championships.

Designed and manufactured in Co Tyrone, Nugent has a trailer for every requirement, as well as a wide range of cattle and bale handling equipment.

The new Nugent Tiltbed trailer will be making its debut this year, having launched at the Balmoral Show in May. This versatile trailer was well received by the construction and car transportation industries, among others, with its ability to transport heavy equipment while offering a greater loading angle for machinery with low ground clearance. It’s comprehensive collection of standard features, which come as standard on all models, drew particular admiration.

Nugent’s livestock trailers are built to last and manufactured to a high specification, with many features as standard, including LED lights, spare wheel, sectional fold-down air flaps, dividing gate and Dual Drive™ suspension. Nugent’s patented Dual Drive™ suspension is standard across the trailer range, reducing vibrations and minimising stress on the chassis and towing vehicle.

Its varied bale handling range includes heavy-duty lifters, grabs and spikes as well as the Nugent bale feeder, which was launched at Ploughing 2019. The Nugent bale feeder saves time, money and wastage on the farm while reducing manual handling and prioritising the safety of both animal and operative. Capable of being used on three-point linkage, front loader or farm handler, the quick-attach automated locking system eradicates manual input required from the operator, while bales can also be loaded and unloaded from the comfort of the cab! The Nugent bale handling range also includes twin bale lifters and hydraulic bale stackers and is currently stocked nationwide.

Nugent cattle crushes are designed with the welfare and safety of both the farmer and livestock in mind. The Universal Cattle Tech is designed for all-round speedy handling of demanding livestock in today’s commercial beef farms. The adjustable head locking gate makes it suitable for animals of all sizes and a combination of side doors allow a choice of access points. The Universal Hoof Tech’s robust structure meets the demands of the farmer’s everyday needs, as well as having clear design features to ensure safe and efficient access for hoof-trimming and animal care.
