We recently caught up with one of our CNC Operators Krasimir to find out more about his time at Nugent.
Why did you want to join Nugent?
For many years I worked in a large international company. When it was time to make the move to a new job, the most important thing for me was that I wanted to find an employer that had a stable position in the market.
Nugent’s reputation stood out when I did my research. It’s a family company with a nice community of people. It was great to find a group of people that share the same vision and purpose.
What does a typical week look like for you?
I work as a CNC Operator; I ensure the machines are running smoothly. These shape the materials which have been cut and are ready to be folded, to then be passed onto the welding team.
I’m lucky because all the machines I work on are new and simple to operate. I have no hassle with these machines. Daily routine check-ups include checking the electrics for any issues. There is also some paperwork to complete.
I will admit I am a bit of a perfectionist, so I am always keen to know when I can get into the drawings and start to shape parts during the week, to contribute to the production process.
Best part of the job?
The job itself is rewarding, and I have good people around me; nice colleagues, team leader and supervisor. Everyone is willing to help each other.

What do you like to do in your spare time?
